Rock Salt (ground, shaker)

The greyish colour of ‘saindhava lavan’, a classic rock salt, comes from the high proportion of minerals and trace elements that it contains. Our rock salt is mined mechanically, without using explosives, in the Pakistani foothills of the Himalayas.

Rock salt is more sought-after than common table salt since table salt loses most of its elements during refining, is more than 97,5% sodium and chloride, and is known to contain microplastics from the ocean.
