Careful – very hot. This mixture of fenugreek, chilli, asafoetida (hing), rock salt and cumin is very fiery and should be used sparingly. It should be used with heavy foods, such as soufflé’s covered with baked cheese.

Ayurvedic qualities of Methia

Methia supports the whole metabolic process. When, for example, the constitution of Kapha types is weak, Methia can be used regularly but sparingly. It is also good in winter because of its warming quality. Those with predominate Pitta should avoid this spice.
